Get to Know Me

Hi, I’m Ayaa! 

Growing up, I never found myself to be interested in much. It always bothered me that I didn't have hobbies or passions. So, after high school, I didn't have a concrete career plan or direction for my life. I dabbled in various career paths over a span of 5 years, trying to find my place, but nothing resonated with me.

It wasn’t until 2021, when I got fed up with not knowing where or what I would be doing for the rest of my life. One thing I was definitely interested in, was skin care. So, I started researching career paths that aligned. I didn't know there was a name for this industry, let alone that the industry even existed. I had stumbled upon the European Institue of Esthethics in Edmonton and applied immediately. I went in with no expectations, and frankly, I didn't know where this new venture was headed or how it would end. Honestly, the fear of the unknown was absolutely terrifying. 

I wouldn’t describe myself as a quitter per se, but I do I tend to get bored and lose interest in things fairly quickly. For that reason, I was really nervous and skeptical about my new educational journey. The first month was difficult for me to adjust, but I decided to see it through, and I am so glad I did! It genuinely turned out to be one of the most incredible experiences of my life. The staff, instructors, and students were some of the friendliest and kindest people I’ve ever met! For that, I am extremely thankful and proud to say I graduated from the Clinical Esthetican program in October of 2022. Not only did I graduate with so much knowledge and experience, but with life long friends as well! 

After graduation, I had a difficult time finding a job in the industry. So, I decided to take matters into my owns hands and turn my basement into a home spa. It was a long, tedious, and stressful process, but I am extremely proud of the space I've created, and seeing the vision become a reality! 

Love Your Skin is a home based, safe and welcoming environment for all. I’m deeply passionate about skin care, and supporting humans in finding their inner beauty and feeling comfortable in their skin, hence the name 'Love Your Skin'.

Affordability was one of the key elements when creating Love Your Skin. Although self care is considered a luxury, it shouldn't have to be something that breaks the bank. My priority is, and will always be providing quality and affordable services.
